What's the difference between Proxy, Portals, and Complete?
Proxy secures API keys — your team uses proxy URLs instead of real credentials. Portals lets your team access shared web logins without seeing the password. Complete bundles both into a single license at a discount.
Can I switch between products later?
Yes. If you start with Proxy or Portals and later need both, you can upgrade to Complete. Your existing configuration carries over.
What counts as an "entry"?
An entry is a single API proxy or portal configuration. For example, one OpenAI API key = 1 entry. One shared Figma login = 1 entry. Complete plans share the entry limit across both proxy and portal entries.
What does "servers" mean?
Each AltENV server is a separate deployment. Solo allows 1 server. Starter allows 3 — useful for dev, staging, and production environments. Growth and above support multiple offices or projects.
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. Enter your email, get a license key instantly. Full access for 30 days. The trial includes all features from the Business tier.
Is this really self-hosted? What data do you see?
Yes, fully self-hosted. The AltENV server runs on your infrastructure. We never see your API keys, passwords, or traffic. The only external call is a periodic license validation check.
What happens when my license expires?
The server continues running but stops accepting new proxy/portal requests until you renew. Existing configurations are preserved — nothing is deleted.
Can I pay annually and switch to monthly?
Yes. You can switch billing periods at any time. The change takes effect at your next renewal date.
